An electrical emergency is anything that is actively unsafe: burning smells, scorching, arcing, exposed live conductors, or a complete loss of power you cannot restore.

- A burning or fishy smell near sockets, switches or the board
- Scorch marks, discolouration or melted plastic
- Buzzing, crackling or arcing sounds
- Exposed or damaged cable anyone could touch
- A breaker or RCD that will not reset
What happens when you ring
Call now, any hour07502 396654You ring
A person answers, at any hour. Not an answering service taking a message for the morning.
We work out the urgency
Describe what is happening and we will tell you whether to isolate something at the board before we set off.
Someone comes out
You are not charged a call-out fee for us attending. Across London we are usually with you inside the hour for an emergency.
It is made safe
The danger is removed first. Only then is the fault traced properly, rather than under pressure.

The first job on any emergency call is to make the installation safe, which usually means isolating the affected circuit at the consumer unit rather than the whole property. Once the danger is removed, the fault can be traced properly instead of under pressure.
A breaker that trips once may be nothing. A breaker that will not stay in is telling you there is a fault on that circuit, and repeatedly forcing it back is the one thing worth avoiding — the protective device is doing its job, and overriding it removes the protection without fixing the cause.
If you can smell burning or see scorch marks around a socket, switch or the board itself, turn that circuit off at the consumer unit and leave it off. Heat damage at a terminal is usually a loose connection, and loose connections get hotter the longer they run.

Not our description of the service — three people who rang it, quoted from Google.
We called Mizan at 5.30 am this morning. He answered our call immediately. He was clear, calm and helped us resolve our electrical fault. He took my husband through each step. Thank you so much Mizan. You are amazing!
Faridah W. — 5.30am emergency call … I was panicking and needed someone urgently and he arrived in under an hour and fixed the electrical issues in my house.
Barbara N. — Urgent fault … Only fixed what needed to be fixed and didn’t try to sell me anything extra, honest and straight forward and punctual.
Kuresh A. — Tripping breaker, Sunday callout
Turn it off at the board and ring us.
If something is arcing, scorched or has stopped working entirely, isolate that circuit and pick up the phone. We are on the other end of it at any hour.

No call-out fee.
A call-out fee is a separate charge on top of the hourly rate, just for turning up. We do not have one, and there is nothing to pay before we arrive — which is not true of every firm you could ring tonight.
Work is charged by the hour, with a rough estimate before we start. If it turns out bigger than it looked, you hear that from us before we carry on.

24/7 emergency electrician: common questions
The things people ask us on the phone about this one.
Not covered here? Ring 07502 396654 and ask.
Do you really answer the phone at night?
Yes. A person answers, not a machine taking a message for the morning. Tell them what it is doing and they will tell you whether it needs somebody out now or whether it can safely wait until morning.
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Burning smells, scorch marks around a socket or switch, sparking, a board that will not stay in, or any loss of power that leaves you without heating or light. Anything you can smell or see damage from should be isolated and called in rather than left overnight.
Is there a call-out fee?
There is no separate call-out charge on top of the hourly rate, and nothing to pay before we arrive. Work is charged by the hour with a minimum of one hour, which is explained when you ring rather than discovered afterwards.
What should I do before you arrive?
If you can do it safely, switch off the affected circuit at the consumer unit and unplug anything on it. Do not keep resetting a breaker that will not hold — it is holding for a reason.
Can you make it safe if the full repair needs parts?
Usually, yes. Making an installation safe and isolating the fault is a separate step from repairing it, and we would rather leave you safe tonight and come back with the right part than improvise.
