These are terms for using this website. They are not the terms under which electrical work is carried out — those are agreed with you directly before work begins, and nothing on this page changes them or replaces them.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Ideal Electricians Ltd. “You” means anyone using the site.

The content here is general information about what we do. It is written carefully and kept current as far as we reasonably can, but it is general — it cannot account for the particular condition of your installation, and it is not a substitute for having somebody look at it.

Nothing on this site is professional advice about your property, and you should not act on it as though it were. Where an article describes what to check yourself, it also says where to stop. Please stop there.

You agree to use the site lawfully, and not in a way that interferes with anyone else’s use of it.

The rates published on our charges page are the starting point for the work described, not a quotation and not an offer capable of acceptance. They can change, and the page you are reading may not be the current one. Any figure we discuss with you is an estimate based on what we have been told, and a firm price follows from seeing the work.

Where an article mentions what something typically costs in the trade generally, that is context and not our price.

We aim to reach an emergency quickly, and across London we are usually with you inside the hour. That is a description of how it normally goes, not a contractual commitment. Traffic, weather, distance and how many calls are already in front of yours all affect it.

We do not guarantee attendance within any particular time unless we have specifically agreed one with you.

Where the site refers to registrations and qualifications — NICEIC approval, Part P registration, City & Guilds and EAL awards — those are accurate at the date shown at the top of this page. Registrations are subject to periodic assessment and renewal by the bodies that award them. The certificates themselves are reproduced on our certificates page so you can check them rather than take our word for it.

The text, images, photography, layout, design and code of this site belong to us or are used with permission. Third-party marks — those of certification bodies and the companies we work with — belong to their owners and appear here to identify them.

You may read the site and share links to it. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce or republish its content
• Use its content for commercial purposes
• Modify or create derivative works from it
• Use our name, logo or branding without written consent

We link to other organisations where it helps — regulations, guidance, certification bodies, the electricity network operator. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

We try to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights in respect of work carried out for you.

Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy. In short, this website sets no cookies and collects nothing about you — we hold information only if you have contacted us.

We may amend these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top. Using the site after a change means accepting the amended terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from use of this website.
