The detail
A heater that never gets warm is often not being charged at all, which points at the off-peak supply or the time switch rather than the appliance. A heater that runs out by mid-afternoon is usually a charge control set wrong for the season.
Elements fail one at a time. A heater with several elements will still produce some heat with one gone, which is why a gradual loss of output is more common than a sudden failure and easy to put down to the weather.
Immersion heaters follow the same pattern — element and thermostat. A tank that heats slowly, or heats then cools far too quickly, is worth testing before assuming the cylinder is at fault.

Do you supply storage heaters?
No — we work on them, but we do not supply them. If a heater needs replacing you buy the unit and we handle the disconnection, the circuit and the installation.
Can you work on Economy 7 and off-peak circuits?
Yes. Off-peak and Economy 7 installations have their own switching and their own faults, and they are common in older flats and in suburban housing built with electric heating.
Why is my storage heater not charging overnight?
Usually the off-peak supply, the timer or the charge controller rather than the heater itself. Testing the switching is where that gets settled.
Can you repair an immersion heater?
Yes, and the usual culprits are the element or the thermostat. Both are testable rather than guessable.
